Sara Penner - Director

Sara Penner is the former Vice President of Global Technology Finance (Retired) for Canada Life. An accounting professional, she joined Canada Life’s Investment division in 2002, moving to the Technology division in 2008. At Canada Life, Sara was involved with several operating-segment integrations in Canada and Europe. 

Sara has taken part in many charitable fundraising events, with CancerCare Manitoba especially dear to her heart. She is co-author of the book You Can’t See My Scars, covering the inspiring personal cancer journey of her late husband. Sara has a passion for the outdoors and in 2021 was elected to the Ducks Unlimited Canada board, a role in which she has served as Treasurer as well as Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee.
